Beach Orientation
Meet your instructor, get fitted with equipment, and learn beach safety, ocean awareness, and surf etiquette. We'll assess conditions and plan your session.
Land Practice
Practice your pop-up technique, paddling form, and balance on the beach. Master the fundamentals before hitting the water for optimal success.
Ride the Waves!
Hit the water with your instructor by your side. We'll help you catch waves, provide real-time coaching, and capture photos of your accomplishments!

Head Instructor
Alika has been surfing on his island of birth for 35 years and teaching for almost a decade, hes taken thousands of students out and takes great joy in sharing his passion of surfing to all. CPR/First Aid certified, he's helped thousands learn to surf safely.

Senior Instructor
Brooke is a west coast waterwoman with a passion for music, you may have seen her strumming her guitar and singing at one of the areas's restaurants Born and raised in California she had the urge to move to Kauai 7 years ago(so rare!) and has been teaching ever since. CPR/First Aid certified.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any experience?
No! Our lessons are perfect for complete beginners. We'll teach you everything from scratch, and most students stand up on their first day.
What should I bring?
Just bring a towel, swimsuit, and sunscreen (reef-safe preferred). We provide all surfing equipment, rash guards, and water.
What's the best time for lessons?
Early morning (6-9 AM) typically has the best conditions - calmer winds, smaller crowds, and cleaner waves. We also offer afternoon sessions.
What if the weather is bad?
Safety first! If conditions aren't safe, we'll reschedule your lesson for another day at no extra charge. We monitor weather closely.
Can kids take lessons?
Yes! We welcome kids ages 5 and up. Our instructors are experienced working with children and make it safe, fun, and educational.
